Job Details:

• Work in all types of adverse weather and confined areas
• Operate various hand tools and power tools
• Perform a variety of physical labor activities
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes.

Job Requirements:

• Must have physical stamina sufficient to perform construction type work such as: lifting and carrying approximately 100 pounds, bending, stooping, pulling, climbing in and around construction equipment, up and down ladders and in and out of ditches.
• Follow direction, written or verbal, from supervisors
• Basic math
• Ability to work long hours
• Operate and care for construction equipment and materials.
• Assist other skilled labor when necessary
• Prep for construction sites as requested; load or unload construction materials
• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
• Perform site clean-up
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass drug test anytime as requested by employer
• Workers must be punctual and reliable
• Must be able and willing to travel out of town when required
• Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• An ability to motivate and work in a team environment
• Must have a desire to learn and grow in a career
• Related Experience is a plus

We offer competitive compensation and a robust benefit program, including medical, dental, vision, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability. Americom will pay for a portion of some benefits and pay in full for a $25,000 life insurance policy, long-term disability, holiday pay (6 days), and PTO. New employees are eligible for benefit enrollment 1^st of month following 60 days with holiday pay, PTO and 401k eligibility the 1^st of the month following 90 days.
