RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Primary duties of providing physical labor to install voice, data and video cabling.
  • Be safety conscious and abide by company safety policies.
  • Read, understand and follow the company policies and procedures.
  • Provide physical labor to install voice, data, and video cabling
  • Attend all scheduled work-related training.
  • Demonstrate high integrity, honesty, and trust.
  • Must have working knowledge of BICSI standards and installation methods of information transport media, such as:
    • Copper data cable termination and testing
    • Fiber optic termination and testing
    • Coax termination and testing
    • Wireless installation
    • A/V systems
    • Access control and CCTV

REQUIREMENTS

  • Oral and written skills and ability to communicate with other workers, craftsman, and other trades
  • Must have own transportation to and from work sites.
  • Follow directions and work independently
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work off ladders, lifts, and confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
  • Must have a valid Utah Driver’s License.
  • Clean driving record
  • Able to pass a level 4 background check
  • Must be able to work with basic hand tools.
  • Required to have/purchase certain hand tools.
We offer competitive compensation and a robust benefit program, including medical, dental, vision, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability. Americom will pay for a portion of some benefits and pay in full for a $25,000 life insurance policy, long-term disability, holiday pay (6 days), and PTO. New employees are eligible for benefit enrollment 1st of month following 60 days with holiday pay, PTO and 401k eligibility the 1st of the month following 90 days.
