SUPERINTENDENT

(Outside Plant-Utility Division)

We are currently seeking a Superintendent to lead, direct multiple outside plant construction crews and multiple projects. We are looking for an outstanding individual who shares the passion for creating the ultimate customer experience.


Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience with outside plant construction
  • Safety first – able to identify safety hazards
  • Conduct tool box meetings
  • Work in a team environment and develop team comradery
  • Train and mentor others on the job
  • Function as a liaison between management and crews
  • Drive efficiency and profitability on all projects
  • Knowledge of traffic control procedures
  • Ability to manage obstacles like weather, schedule changes and delays
  • Read and understand blue prints
  • Familiar with Blue Stakes and able to identify marked utilities
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and maintenance requirements


Qualifications

  • Competent person certificates with MSHA and OSHA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Foreman or Superintendent role
  • Knowledge with MS office, specifically Work and Excel
  • Basic accounting knowledge with understanding in job costing
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possess class A CDL
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Able to pass a level 4 background check

Physical Requirements

  • Lift 80 lbs from floor to above head
  • Work in all weather conditions from extreme temperatures ranging from -30o to +120o
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolding and lifts
  • Work in trenches, manholes, tunnels, closets, and crawlspaces

Teacher: Must have the ability and desire to train, develop, and mentor to team members

Goal Oriented: Possess a strong desire to “do what it takes” to achieve documented goals and objectives.

Personal Integrity: Must maintain the highest levels of personal integrity and strict confidentiality of all matters pertaining to corporate strategies, interaction with senior management and executives, access to sensitive information, etc.

Detail Oriented: Must be detailed oriented to ensure complete and current accuracy of company records within your area of responsibility.

Critical Thinker: Able to assist in the review of project documents and scope of work to spot potential areas of adverse or unacceptable risk, and offer alternative solution to protect the Company’s interest.

Hunger for Learning: Must always be eager to learn and grow, willing to accept direction and suggestions from any number of sources, as learning opportunities.

Pragmatist: Must be willing to be flexible and accepting, understanding that business needs and priorities can often change.
