You will play a key role in the build out of technology systems that encompass voice, data, and video over Copper, Fiber optics and wireless.

At Americom you will be involved in the installation of high end communications cabling infrastructures. You will play a key role in the build out of technology systems that encompass voice, data, and video over Copper, Fiber optics and wireless.
Job Responsibilities:
- Primary duties of providing supervision and physical labor to install voice, data and video cabling.
- Be safety conscious and abide by company safety policies.
- Read, understand and follow the company policies and procedures.
- Attend all scheduled work related training.
- Teach and mentor Tech I and Tech II employees
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrate high integrity, honesty, and trust.
- Must have expert level knowledge of BICSI standards and installation methods of information transport media, such as:
- Copper data cable termination and testing
- Fiber optic termination and testing
- Coax termination and testing
- Wireless installation
- A/V systems
- Access control and CCTV
- Must have own transportation to and from work sites.
- Must possess 4 industry certifications
- Model a Safety culture
- Oral and written skills and ability to communicate with other workers, craftsman, and other trades
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work off ladders, lifts, and confined spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
- Must have a valid Utah Driver’s License.
- Must be able to read construction prints and other documentation
- Must possess the following hand tools:
- Cable snips
- Phillip’s screw driver
- Blade screw driver
- Torpedo Level
- Tool pouch
- Tone and Probe set
- Telephone Butt set
- Punch down tool (110/66)
- Cordless drill
- Flashlight
- Continuity/pair tester
- Coax Compression tool
- Utility Knife
- Long nose Pliers
- Diagonal Pliers
- Wallboard Saw
- 25’ tape Measure
- Socket Set
- Electrical wire stripper
- Ohm/Volt Meter
