Americom Technologies LLC is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team in our OSP Department. The OSP Department is responsible for underground infrastructure placing conduit, fiber, and copper to support telecommunications, data networks, and fire mitigation.

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Lead and direct multiple outside plant construction crews and projects. Responsible for keeping projects on time and profitable.

 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Identify daily safety concerns, solutions, sight conditions, verify and enforce submittals of JHA’s.
  • Responsible for ensuring DVIR’s, maintain equipment, daily reports, Smartsheet entries and review (these are daily requirements)
  • Develop team unity with positive reinforcement for field employees.
  • Train and mentor others on the job
  • Function as a liaison between management and crews with positive reinforcement
  • Ensure two party verification is completed.
  • Drive efficiency and profitability on all projects (I.e., fuel prices, idling trucks, material waste, misplaced or broken tools)
  • Knowledge of traffic control procedures: acquiring traffic control certification
  • Ability to manage obstacles like weather, public and foreseeable delays.
  • Read and understand blueprints, job specifications and project specific details.
  • Familiar with blue stakes and identify marked utilities.
  • Timecard accuracy and submittal for field employees daily
  • Drive to achieve daily schedule and goals with crew and time management.
  • Coordinate with the PM on scheduling.
  • Ensure field has POs for all purchases.
  • Enforcement of company policies and procedures
  • Keep detailed daily record (pen to paper or email reporting to PM’s)
  • Timely completion of accident or incident report and all required documentation
  • Make sure that all dashboard forms are completed as needed.

 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
 

  • Competent person certificates with MSHA and OSHA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Foreman or Superintendent role
  • Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices.
  • Knowledge of MS office specifically Work and Excel
  • Basic accounting knowledge with understanding in job costing
  • Great problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective leadership abilities, like motivation, goal setting and conflict management.
  • Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Able to pass a level 4 background check.
  • Maintains financial security by assisting in the monitoring of internal controls.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Must be customer oriented: ability to take care of the customer while following company procedures.

 

CERTIFICATIONS (PREFERRED)

 

  • OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30
  • Class A CDL
