The Account Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers, actively prospecting for new accounts, and for maximizing sales potential with existing customers. As an Account Manager, you are the primary external representative of our Company, and you must convey a sense of professionalism and expertise in the products and services we market. You are a member of a dynamic, collaborative team of sales professionals, and are responsible for meeting agreed upon monthly, quarterly, annual sales, and gross profit objectives. You will contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal and professional growth.

Sales Objective and Account Management

  • Maintain the highest degree of professionalism and integrity in representing Americom Technology.
  • Identify prospects, customers, and referral sources, and develop and maintain relationships to ensure attainment of company business / revenue goals. Support efforts to consistently grow the base of referral sources.
  • Develop sales strategies based on competitive information and customer requirements and expectations.
  • Manage competitive bid process to ensure timely, complete, and accurate responses to RFP’s / RFI’s are delivered on time. Coordinate Estimator involvement as needed to complete accurate detailed quotes.
  • Coordinate with and keep open line of communication with project manager to manage labor, materials, and equipment activities for project.
  • Develop project budgets and coordinate approvals with project manager and/or director.
  • Resolves any conflicts which arise with the customer or project manager.
  • Manage sales pipeline at a level reasonable to ensure monthly sales objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain consistent sales performance at agreed upon monthly sales objectives.
  • Conduct on-site and/or community-based presentations that promote the image of our company as a leading telecommunications and technology infrastructure provider.
  • Analyze and draw conclusions from competitive market assessments to develop pricing and sales strategies geared toward success and profitability.
  • Keep current on advancements in technology and industry standards.
  • Understand and comply with sales systems in place.
  • Analyze sales reports, business trends, and opportunities.

Administrative Process

  • Communicate effectively with senior management, sales team, operations, and support staff, informing and updating regularly to ensure that sales and customer objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure applicable databases and systems are regularly updated and kept current related to customers, quote activity, opportunities, sales funnel, etc.
  • Provide collaborative input on strategic sales plan, and partnering/joint sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Technical understanding of common telecommunications terms and standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret various construction drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications
  • Prior verifiable sales experience
  • Valid State motor vehicle operator’s license.
  • BICSI and or various manufacturer certifications desired.
  • RCDD highly desired.

Compensation

  • Base salary subject to experience
  • Commission plan based on achievement of sales quota as defined in agreement
  • Car allowance.
